Help make it the best – volunteer!!

We’re one of the best community festivals in the area, but your help is needed to make it happen!

Derby Days 2009 will be held on May 29, 30 and 31 at Derby High School.  From the Derby Days parade to the Ottaway carnival and all the events in between, you'll have plenty of time to have fun while helping to support a fantastic community event.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the parade on Friday evening between 4 pm and 7 pm, as well as at the main Derby Days site - Derby High School from 6 pm to 11 pm.  Or, spend some time Saturday between 8 am and 10 pm or Sunday between 1 pm and 5 pm. Among the volunteer tasks available are selling buttons, staffing the information booth, directing traffic and parking, cleaning tables and picking up trash.

Volunteering for just four hours means that you’ll earn a free volunteer t-shirt and Derby Days button, along with an invitation to a special appreciation event just for volunteers and sponsors.  And, most importantly, you’ll be helping to carry on the long tradition of Derby Days’ family-friendly community fun.

To volunteer – whether it’s you, your family, your church group or your entire civic organization – contact Ron Brown for more information.
