Here's a guide to this year's event information.
Unless otherwise noted, the admission fee is your $3 Derby Days button
for everyone 3 years of age or older.

Parade:
The Derby Days Sundown Parade will kick off this year's event starting
at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 4. Sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings in
Derby, this long-standing tradition will feature a variety of
participants including local churches, businesses, community groups and
more. It's free to participate -

Beach Blanket Theater:
New to Derby Days this year is the invitation to bring blankets, lawn
chairs and pillows to settle in and watch a special outdoor screening of
Disney's animated feature "Surf's Up." The movie, which features
the wild adventures of a misfit surfing penguin, will start at
approximately 8:30 PM and should conclude by 10 PM.
ShopFest:
The Derby Days ShopFest will
be held on Saturday, June 5 in the Derby High School Commons. The
event will run from 10 AM to 4 PM and feature craft vendors selling a wide variety of unique arts and crafts products. You'll
also find many area businesses sharing information about their products
and services, from insurance to chiropractic care and more. Admission is free with your $3
Derby Days button. Sponsored by Capitol Federal.
KidFest:
One of the most popular events at Derby Days, the KidFest has tons of
activities and entertainment for kids from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday,
June 5. Highlights include performances by popular children's
entertainers like magician Chris Conner, Ron Tibbetts "The Bubbleman,"
Puddles the Clown and Derby's own Brent Dillenger aka "The
Spinmaster."
See demonstrations by local clubs like Cheer Eclipse All Star
Cheerleading, Blackeagle Martial Arts, Funtastics Gymnastics and
Air Capital Gymnastics.
Kids can make and take home a variety of craft projects, or have a free
caricature drawn by caricature artist Jaki McElroy. Cl!x of Derby
will be on site taking free "beach" photos for all KidFest participants. All activities
are included with your purchase of a $3 Derby Days button. Sponsored by Cox Communications,
Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Valley State Bank.
DanceFest:
Be sure to make time to stop by the Derby Days DanceFest, going on from
10 AM to 1 PM inside the DHS Auditorium. There's no admission fee,
and you can see performances by dancers of all ages with RaeAnn's Fancy
Footwork and The Movement Academy. Tap, jazz and other dance
styles will be on display as local students show off their dance skills.
Dodgeball Tournament:
The 4th Annual Derby Days Dodgeball Tournament will be
Saturday, June 5 at Derby High School in the auxiliary gymnasium. The
games begin at 10:00 at the gym and it is 6 vs.6 Double Elimination
Tournament. For more information, call Kasey Guinty at First
Christian Church, 788-5503 Ext. 11. Registration Deadline is 4:00 P.M.
June 4th. Cost is $50.00 per team.
Golf Tournament:
Join us for the annual Derby Days Golf Tournament at Hidden
Lakes Golf Course, just east of Derby at 63rd & Greenwich. The
tournament is a two-person scramble and tees off at 1:30 PM on Saturday,
June 5. Players of all levels are welcome. Win prizes
donated by local merchants or try your skills on one of the proximity
marked holes. Fee includes golf cart and driving range plus
beverages and dinner. Awards and dinner will follow the
tournament. Fee is $75. Contact the DRC to register or

Dog Show:
Bring your pooch out to Derby Days
(don't forget the leash!) and compete in Dog Show categories that include Best of
Show, Owner/Pet Lookalike, Best Dressed and more.
No registration required, but a $3 Derby
Days button is a requirement for the owner.
Family Fun Walk:
Bring your family and some comfortable shoes and try this year's Family
Fun Walk. Go at your own pace to complete the course, and start
any time between 8 AM and 1 PM. Prizes given to the course
winners. Registration will be located on site at DHS. Don't
forget your button!
