ShopFest:
Sponsored by Capitol Federal Bank of Derby, the Derby Days ShopFest will
be held on Saturday, May 30 in the Derby High School Commons. The
event will run from 9 AM to 5 PM and features over 60 different vendors
selling a wide variety of unique arts and crafts products. You'll
also find many area businesses sharing information about their products
and services, from insurance to chiropractic care and more.

KidFest:
One of the most popular events at Derby Days, the KidFest has endless
activities and entertainment for kids from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday,
May 30. Highlights include performances by popular children's
entertainers like magician Chris Conner, Ron Tibbetts "The Bubbleman,"
Puddles the Clown and Derby's own Brent Dillenger aka "The Yo-Yo Man."
See demonstrations by local clubs like Cheer Eclipse All Star
Cheerleading, Kim's Academy of Tae Kwon Do and Funtastics Gymnastics.
Kids can make and take home a variety of craft projects, or have a free
caricature drawn by caricature artist Jaki McElroy. Admission is
free with a $3 Derby Days button.
DanceFest:
Be sure to make time to stop by the Derby Days DanceFest, going on from
10 AM to 1 PM inside the DHS Auditorium. There's no admission fee,
and you can see performances by dancers of all ages with RaeAnn's Fancy
Footwork and The Movement Academy. Tap, jazz and other dance
styles will be on display as local kids show off their dance skills.

Dog Show:
In its third year, the Derby Days Dog Show is sponsored by Rainbow
Valley Veterinary Clinic. Bring your pooch out to Derby Days
(don't forget the leash!) and compete in categories that include Best of
Show, Owner/Pet Lookalike, Best Dressed and more.
Grand prize this year is a 16x20 portrait and sitting fee, courtesy of
Crossroads Photography. No registration required, but a $3 Derby
Days button is a requirement for the owner.
Judging schedule is as follows:
12:00-12:30 Sign-Up; 12:30-1 Best Small Dog and Best Big Dog; 1:00 -
1:30 Best Trick and Owner/Dog look alike; 1:30-2:00 Best Dressed and
Ugliest Dog; 2:00-2:15 Best in Show. Parade of Breeds will begin
at 2:15.
Family Fun Walk:
Bring your family and some comfortable shoes and try this year's Family
Fun Walk. Go at your own pace to complete the course, and start
any time between 8 AM and 1 PM. Prizes given to the course
winners. Registration will be located on site at DHS. Don't
forget your button!
